Devikulam means lake (kulam) of the Goddess (Devi). According to the mythology, Goddess Sita came to this place and bathed in the waters of Devikulam Lake.

Devikulam is a small and most delightful hill resort in the state of Kerala. It is famous for its unique flora and fauna. Hills are fully covered with green vegetation carpet. There is a tiny lake ensconced in the midst of the Devikulam hills.
